Subject: Splash is this weekend: Important Instructions!

Hi Template:User.first name,

Splash is this weekend! We've posted directions and logistical information on the website -- http://stanfordesp.org/learn -- and for your convenience we're including that information in this email.

Registration opens at 9am, and will remain open all day. If you have a 10am class, we strongly recommend arriving at 9am to have enough time to check in. If your first Saturday class is 11am or later, please arrive at least 30 minutes before your first class! You can check your schedule at http://stanfordesp.org/learn - if you want to change your classes, you'll have the opportunity to do so this weekend at registration.

In an effort to be environmentally friendly, we'll be providing coolers with drinks in addition to bottled beverages for students and parents. We encourage you to bring your own reusable bottle! There will be a raffle at lunchtime for students who bring a bottle for a chance to win an iPod shuffle.

    • Directions:

Splash takes place at Stanford University. For driving and public transit directions to Stanford, visit http://stanfordesp.org/about/getting-here.html. There is always a lot of traffic and limited parking at the Oval on the mornings of Splash, so we recommend carpooling if possible.

Once you're on Stanford's campus, there will be signs directing you to where you need to go. Make your way to Splash! Check-In, located inside the main quad, in front of building 110. Signs for registration will be visible from The Oval at the end of Palm Drive.

    • What to bring:

(1) Your signed liability form - available here: http://stanfordesp.org/media/uploaded/11_03/SplashWaiverSpring2011.PDF. You will not be allowed to participate without a signed liability form. (2) $40 cash or check made out to "Educational Studies Program". (3) A reusable water bottle to get a chance to win an iPod shuffle! (4) Your awesome self, ready to learn something new.

See you this weekend!!

Best, Stanford Splash Admin Team

P.S. Remind your parents that Splash now offers a full day of parents' programming, talks aimed just at them, and sample Splash classes, complete with coffee and wifi. More information available at http://learningu.org/parents/stanfordSpring2011.
